The lotus pond

Still water at the end of the walk.

Tell us who is learning and where you are. We will find you a discipline, a centre and a day — and answer the questions you haven’t asked yet.

Where the classes are, and on which days.

Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music run on different days, so check the centre before you plan the week.

What happens next

  1. You send the details

The form gathers everything in one message so nobody has to go back and forth over five replies.

  2. We reply on WhatsApp

Usually the same day. Pooja answers enrolment questions herself rather than passing them on.

  3. We find your slot

We suggest a centre, a batch and a day that fits, and tell you what to bring to the first class.

Before you write

The questions people hesitate to ask.

I'm an adult with no background. Is it too late?

No. Kalaarnavaa exists because of exactly this question. Our founder was away from dance for fifteen years before she tied the ghungroos on again — the school was built so that no student is ever told they are too old, too late, or too anything, to dance.

How young can a child start?

We teach students from five years upward. Below that, the body and the attention span usually aren't ready for the discipline the form asks for, and starting too early tends to put children off.

Do I need any experience at all?

None. Posture, rhythm and form are taught the right way from day one — that grounding is the whole point, and it is easier to build than to correct later.

Do you teach online?

Yes. Online batches run on Saturdays and Sundays across all disciplines, for students outside Bengaluru or with weekday schedules that won't bend.

Which days would I be coming in?

It depends on the discipline and the centre — Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music run on different days. The three centres and their days are listed above.
